Etiquette Rules

Except in cases in which we have put together special "national" tournaments, all player chats must be written in English. There are, of course, the exceptions of greetings, which are easily recognizable by international players (e.g. "Salut!", "Gracias!").

  1. All our players are instructed to chat in a way that would be polite and admissible in any face-to-face meeting with a respected friend or acquaintance. Abusive, foul, or inappropriate chatting will not be tolerated on our site. Any player chatting in an unacceptable way is subject to penalty, which may even include removal from our chat for a period of time or permanently. In severe cases, such players may even lose their playing privileges permanently.
  2. Players may not type the words, characters or phrases into the chat window that make the game more difficult, because this can be disturbing to other players. Such behavior may result in the loss of chat and/or playing privileges.
  3. Please be advised that no player may use the chat feature operated by Rock And Roll Poker to advertise websites or other commercial services. Such behavior or attempts may result in the loss of chat and/or playing privileges.
  4. Our players may not send unwanted messages about private tournaments or sit-and-go events using the chat feature on our website. Such behavior or attempts may result in the loss of chat, private tournament play, and/or playing privileges.
  5. For both our cash games and tournaments, any and all players who have folded during a hand may not discuss or disclose the nature of the cards that they folded. Such behavior would provide unfair information, and therefore an unfair advantage, to players still in the hand.
  6. In cash games only, players still in a hand may chat about what cards they claim to hold. This is "coffee-housing," which is common in poker. However, players who are either in the hand or not may not coach or otherwise suggest how another player should play his hand. For example, it is acceptable to say "You should call; I'm bluffing." However, it is not okay to say, "You should call; he's bluffing."
  7. In both cash games and tournaments, if there are more than two players left in a pot, players (whether active participants or observers) may not chat about any subject matter that might reasonably be interpreted as affecting the play of the hand. For instance, suppose players A, B, and C are in a hand. A bets, and B is next to make a play. C may not chat, "Im going to fold" (whether he intends to fold or not).
  8. In the case any dispute should arise, Rock And Roll Poker management will make a decision, and this decision will be considered to be final.
